Biography

Katyrina Zielinski is an associate in the Planning & Municipal Law Group and Expropriation Law Group. Before joining Thomson Rogers, Katyrina articled at a large regional municipality, which gave her an in-house perspective on complex planning, municipal and expropriation matters. Katyrina has experience appearing before a variety of administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Land Tribunal, and Courts.

Katyrina received her Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School after beginning her law degree at the University of Ottawa. During law school, Katyrina received the Kenneth Gibson Morden Memorial Prize for achieving the highest standing in the subject of Evidence. A passionate advocate, she was a semi-finalist in the Nelligan O’Brien Payne Moot Court Competition. She also volunteered with Law in Action Within Schools.

Outside of work, Katyrina enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching action movies, and travelling to new destinations.
