Thomson Rogers LLP Client Shares Inspiring Story of Recovery in The Toronto Star
Author(s): Sloan H. Mandel
September 2, 2026

Myles Brady, a Thomson Rogers LLP client represented by Partner Sloan H. Mandel, shared his story of survival and recovery in a feature published by the Toronto Star.
Brady, a Mississauga man, was 22 and months from graduating from the University of Toronto Mississauga when he was seriously injured in a head-on collision on Highway 9 in Caledon, Ontario on November 30, 2021. He broke 17 bones, suffered extensive internal injuries and spent 76 days at Sunnybrook Hospital, undergoing the first of what would become years of surgeries.
This fall, he begins medical school at Toronto Metropolitan University, a path he credits in part to the care he received from his Sunnybrook trauma team during his long recovery. Sloan and the entire firm are proud to have supported him as he turns his experience into a career helping others.
