We are proud to announce the opening of the Thomson Rogers Lawyers Patient and Family Lounge at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Lyndhurst Centre on June 17, 2024.

At Thomson Rogers, we believe in giving back to our community in meaningful ways. In 2019, we contributed $200,000 to Lyndhurst Centre to create a welcoming space for patients seeking relaxation, socialization, and privacy.

Patients at the Lyndhurst Centre face a myriad of challenges during their rehabilitation journey. The road to recovery often involves not only physical and medical hurdles but also emotional and social ones. Many patients share rooms and don’t have private space.

The idea for this sponsorship arose when our client expressed the need for a dedicated area to unwind from the rigorous demands of therapy, meet with family and friends, and have private conversations without the constant backdrop of a clinical environment.

The Thomson Rogers Lawyers Patient and Family Lounge addresses these needs by providing a comfortable environment for patients and caregivers at Lyndhurst Centre. It serves as a crucial element in the holistic healing process, offering patients a refuge from the stresses of their recovery and an opportunity to connect with others.

Thomson Rogers’ partnership with Toronto Rehabilitation Institute started more than 30 years ago, in 1993. Over the course of this, we have donated more than $300,000 to the organization.

Our contribution to this project was driven by a deep understanding of the importance of comprehensive care, and we worked closely with the Lyndhurst Centre to ensure that the lounge would meet the specific needs of its patients.

At Thomson Rogers, we are committed to supporting initiatives that directly and positively impact our community. Our sponsorship of the Thomson Rogers Lawyers Patient and Family Lounge at the Lyndhurst Centre reflects our dedication to enhancing the lives of those in need. At Thomson Rogers, we recognize that recovery is not just about physical healing but also about mental and emotional well-being. By providing a space that fosters relaxation and connection, we hope to significantly contribute to the overall rehabilitation experience for patients.

We thank everyone who has contributed to bringing this much-needed space to life.
