On October 19, 2021, Thomson Rogers lawyer Stephen Birman presented at Ontario Lawyer’s Association Long-Term Disability Benefits Roundtable. Stephen spoke to an audience of trial lawyers about his role as trial counsel and the jury’s decision in Baker v. Blue Cross, which resulted in a landmark punitive damages award against a first party disability insurer.
