Biography
Sebastian is a dedicated advocate for plaintiffs in medical malpractice matters, drawing on a rare dual perspective gained from experience on both sides of the civil litigation bar to deliver strategic, results-driven representation.
Sebastian is an associate in the medical malpractice group at Thomson Rogers in Toronto, where he represents plaintiffs in claims arising from childbirth injuries, obstetrical negligence, surgical negligence, nursing negligence, emergency room negligence, medication errors, missed diagnoses, misdiagnosis, brain injuries, wrongful death due to medical negligence, and delayed diagnoses.
Prior to joining Thomson Rogers, Sebastian practised representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters, including medical malpractice, occupiers’ liability, and motor vehicle accidents. He has insight into both sides of such matters, which provides a significant advantage.
Sebastian graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021. Before attending Osgoode Hall Law School, he obtained a master’s degree from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree (Honours) from York University. While in law school, he was a recipient of the Dean’s Gold Key (2021), was the President of Osgoode Latin American Students (OLAS), and was a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Policy (JLSP).
During law school, Sebastian volunteered at Pro Bono Ontario (PBO), an organization that assists self-represented litigants with the goal of providing meaningful access to justice for everyone.
In addition to English, Sebastian is able to assist clients in Spanish.
