TR Law’s Stephen Birman and Daniel Garas were featured in a Toronto Law Journal article titled “Closing Address Gone Wrong.”
Daniel is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Daniel received his Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also gained experience working as a physiotherapist assistant at a busy physiotherapy clinic and then as a legal assistant at a boutique law firm that specialized in areas that included Family Law. While in law school, Daniel volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada on the Family Reunification Project which was focused on the sponsorship of family members by refugee claimants.
Before joining Thomson Rogers, he spent the summer after his second year of law school at a boutique personal injury firm. As a survivor of childhood Leukemia, Daniel has developed a passion to help those experiencing life-altering conditions. This is one of the main reasons why he first became interested in personal injury law. Daniel enjoys all things basketball (go Raptors!), singing at weddings, and spending time with family.
