Thomson Rogers LLP Marks 90 Years with Exceptional $30,000 Gift to Camp Dawn
As part of our 90th anniversary celebrations, Thomson Rogers LLP has donated $30,000 to Camp Dawn. The gift will cover the full cost of all camper registrations, which includes 92 campers for the full four days, and several single-day campers to attend the 2026 session.
Camp Dawn offers an outdoor experience for adult survivors of acquired brain injury (ABI). Campers, aged 18 to 80, gather in an idyllic, inclusive environment where they can reconnect with nature, build community, and enjoy themselves without judgement or scrutiny. For many, it’s one of the only spaces where they aren’t asked to explain what happened to them or who they were before their injury. Instead, they’re simply seen and accepted as they are now.
This year’s camp was especially meaningful, as Camp Dawn participants, staff, and families gathered on September 12, 2025, to see the donation presentation in person.
“We looked at the real value of what we could do to change people’s lives,” said Matt Sutton, a Thomson Rogers partner with years of experience working alongside ABI clients. “We realized that by contributing to Camp Dawn, we were directly impacting people’s lives in a way that’s really meaningful at a grassroots level.”
“This is the most incredible gift from Thomson Rogers,” said Julie Dickison, President of the Camp Dawn Board of Directors, “Camp Dawn means so much to our campers. Your gift will allow them to not have to worry throughout the year about how they’re going to save. And they can focus on returning and continuing to rejuvenate and build strong friendships for years to come.”
The donation ensures that every camper in 2026 can attend without cost. It’s a tangible way to mark 90 years of advocacy at Thomson Rogers and is exemplary of our long-standing commitment to ABI survivors and their families.
Why This Matters to Us
For decades, our personal injury lawyers have advocated for ABI survivors in courtrooms, helped families access care, and navigated complex recoveries. But we also know that healing isn’t just clinical or legal—it’s mental and emotional.
Camp Dawn offers something priceless: the freedom to belong without explanation. That’s why this partnership means so much to us. And we hope it will encourage others to support their important work.
In this exceptional year of our 90th anniversary, we wanted to show our commitment in a unique way—this is the first donation of this kind in Camp Dawn’s 23-year history.
Looking Forward
This one-time gift ensures survivors can register for Camp Dawn 2026 knowing that financial barriers won’t stand in the way. We’re proud to be a part of making that happen.
As we reflect on 90 years of legal advocacy, this moment affirms what matters most: dignity, access, and community. We’re honoured to walk alongside Camp Dawn and the extraordinary people it serves.
