Biography

Matthew Grace is a summer student at Thomson Rogers LLP. He recently completed his second year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. 

Before law school, Matthew earned an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from McMaster University, where he worked as a research assistant at McMaster’s Pain Clinic. His patient-facing work sparked his interest in advocacy and led him to pursue law, with a particular interest in health law and social justice. In law school, he helped represent injured workers through the Advocates for Injured Workers legal clinic, which deepened his interest in litigation and oral advocacy. Matthew is also involved with the law school’s independent newspaper, Ultra Vires, as a staff writer and section editor. 

Outside of work and his studies, Matthew enjoys hockey, listening to and making music, and spending time with family and friends.
