Dr. Joanna Hamilton

Dr. Joanna Hamilton completed her undergraduate degree at Trent University in Peterborough before completing her Ph.D. at the University of Windsor. She began her training in 1985, completing an internship at Chedoke-McMaster Hospitals in the late 1980’s. Following completion of her degree, Dr. Hamilton worked at Bloorview MacMillan Centre (now Holland Bloorview), an experience she thoroughly enjoyed. She currently has a busy private practice in Peterborough, where she serves individuals across the age span in her local community and from all parts of Ontario. She works with individuals, families, and rehabilitation teams in a collaborative manner to improve the lives of those living with the effects of Brain Injury.

Dr. Hamilton travels to Northern Ontario on a regular basis to provide assessments for individuals who cannot travel for evaluations or who would otherwise not receive these services.

Dr. Hamilton is a member of the Central East Brain Injury Network, and sits on other professional boards where she advocates for the education of professionals around issues related to brain injury and disability, particularly in the pediatric population. She has presented at local, provincial and international conferences in the area of brain injury.

Leigh Craney

Leigh Craney holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brock University, and has been working as a community case manager since 2003. While working it the field, Leigh has successfully completed extensive brain injury and spinal cord injury educational training through the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) and Brock University, McMaster University and the University of Calgary.

Leigh is an accredited Registered Rehabilitation Professional (R.R.P.) through the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, a VRA member in good standing, and a member of the Ontario Rehab Alliance. Leigh was the recipient of the Ontario Brain Injury Association Award of Excellence for Case Manager of the Year in 2018, and is a Silver Sponsor of the BIAPH Health Advocates Education Conference.

Keith Lindsay

Keith Lindsay has over 30 years of experience within the mental health and rehabilitation fields, working in various positions of frontline, management and training.

Keith has been involved in numerous educational projects involving professionals, families and individuals with special needs surrounding support and education. Keith currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Brain Injury Association. He is the former president of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors (OACYC). Keith has previously been involved in supporting The Brain Injury Associations of Simcoe Muskoka, Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie. He continues to educate Child and Youth Workers at Community Colleges.

Keith has been the Director of Services, Central and Northern Ontario, for Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services since 2002.
