Lunch & Learn: Making The SABS Work For Your Trauma Patients and Preventing Caregiver Burnout

May 15, 2012

On Thursday, June 21, 2012, at York Central Hospital, lawyers from Thomson Rogers will provide an overview of the key accident benefit entitlements for trauma patients. The discussion will include strategies to avoid common pitfalls when claiming these benefits under the new regime. The focus will also be on lesser-known benefits of use on the front lines including visitor expenses, lost educational expenses, transportation, and the med-rehab “basket clause”. Further, a keynote address by Sue Kelly, Director of Health & Wellness from We Care Home Health Services, will address the challenge of transitioning care from the hospital to home setting and, specifically, how to avoid family caregiver burnout.
