2017 Awards of Excellence in Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Voting is now open for 2017 Awards of Excellence in Brain Injury Rehabilitation. These awards will be presented by the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) in collaboration with PIA Law to recipients who have been selected by their peers for providing exceptional service to the brain injury community in the following five categories:

  • Hospital Social Worker of the Year – This award is given to a hospital social worker who has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist brain injury survivors and their families.
  • Case Manager of the Year – This award is given to a case manager working in a private practice who consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist catastrophically impaired brain injury survivors and their families.
  • Health Care Provider of the Year – This award is given to a health care provider who has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist brain injury survivors and their families.
  • Community Brain Injury Association of the Year – This award is given to a non-profit brain injury association which provides exemplary, innovative and expert services to individuals in the brain injury community.
  • Rehabilitation Company of the Year – This award is given to a private rehabilitation company that consistently provides exemplary and dedicated services to individuals in the brain injury community, including volunteer work.

The 2017 Awards of Excellence will be presented to recipients at the Back to School Conference hosted by PIA Law and Toronto ABI Network on Thursday, September 28th, 2017, at The Carlu.
