Injuries Entitled to Accident Benefits

Not all injuries are the same, and neither are their accident benefits! Thomson Rogers’ Partner Michael Bennett will help you navigate your way.

What types of injuries are there?

Once you start going down the road for applying for accident benefits, you’ll quickly learn that there are three different types of injuries in the accident benefit world. There’s a minor injury, there’s a non-catastrophic injury, and there’s a catastrophic injury.

1. Minor Injury

Let’s start with the minor injury. If you have something akin to a whiplash-type injury, or something that is believed going to be resolved within 6 months, then you’re automatically entitled to $3,500 of rehab coverage

2. Non-Catastrophic Injury

If $3,500 isn’t enough for all the treatment you need, it might be that you’ve suffered a non-catastrophic injury – and that’s an injury that doesn’t resolve fairly quickly. And in that case, you are entitled to $6,500 in medical rehabilitation coverage.

3. Catastrophic Injury

Finally, if you suffered a catastrophic injury, which is the worst type of injury that we can imagine, then the level of benefits that you receive is increased again. It elevates to 1 million dollars for rehab

Conclusion

If you’re having difficulties navigating the accident benefits system, or you feel that you’ve suffered a permanent and serious impairment and someone’s at fault for your accident, call the lawyers at TR Law.
